E-Mail Subscriptions

BRUU keeps in touch using a variety of e-mail lists. We encourage members and friends of BRUU to subscribe by sending an e-mail message with your name, home address, phone number, and email address to the addresses below. Be sure to send the message from the e-mail account that you want to recieve the list messages from BRUU.

BRUU Broadcast E-Mails

The BRUU Broadcast mailing list distributes announcements of general interest to BRUU members and friends. BRUU won't bombard your mailbox, but it will reach out to inform you of events and concerns for BRUU and its community.

BRUU Broadcast is a monitored mailing list. Only messages that meet guidelines for distribution throughout BRUU will be approved. The following are the guidelines for approving e-mails that announce events or activities:

A message is usually approved under any of the following conditions. The event being announced ...

  1. happens at BRUU and is open to BRUU members and friends
  2. is sponsored by a BRUU committee or small group (such as the Summer Retreat)
  3. involves the minister
  4. is sponsored by the Joseph Priestley District (JPD) of the UUA or the UUA itself
  5. is a social justice event where the Social Justice chair sends the announcement to Broadcast.

We discourage the types of messages below because they announce activities outside of BRUU, but we have approved similar messages in the past. If approved, each will be limited to only one e-mail message per event.

  • If a member, member's child, or several member's children are in an activity like a big part in a play, a championship or state tournament game, or a solo musical performance outside of BRUU, is an announcement acceptable?
These have been approved in the past, so one e-mail message is OK.
  • If some BRUU musicians/artists/actors are performing outside of BRUU, is an announcement acceptable?
Yes, one e-mail message is OK.
