We cannot build the beloved community if we cannot imagine it. Playing is one of the ways that we imagine together. In this service, we will consider play as a liberative practice to sustain our imagination and our struggle for justice. In A Theology of Play, J\u00fcrgen Moltmann writes that “liberation from the bonds of the present system of living takes place by playing games.” We will explore how play can assist us in creating new ways of being and relating and how it allows us to gesture towards liberation. <\/p>\n
