Worthy Now: UU Prison Ministries

Humans have an instinctive drive to connect; and those who are in the prison systems often face barriers to connecting with the outside world, leading to poor mental health or even suicidal ideation. The Worthy Now Prison Ministry Program led by the UU Church of the Larger Fellowship creates opportunities for UU’s to put their beliefs in the inherent worth and dignity of all, practice with letter writing to some of the 1,500 Unitarian Universalists that are incarcerated in the United States. Join us today to learn about the program and the way pen pal letters have inspired/motivated/changed lives of both the UU incarcerated and UU letter writers for the better.
