PFLAG at BRUU
PFLAG is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them. Metro DC is the local chapter, with parents, families, friends, and straight allies uniting with LGBTQ+ people, and meets at BRUU at 7:00 pm on the third Tuesday of each month.
Every month a group of LGBTQ+ teens (12-18) meets at BRUU for 90 minutes of safe social interaction with their peers – an experience they don’t usually find at school. There are two seasoned facilitators to guide discussions.
We have recently added a new group for Queer Adults also. At the same time on third Tuesdays, young (and not so young, queer adults meet at BRUU to socialize and provide support to one another in a safe space.
Parents and Caregivers of LGBTQ+ family members meet each month at the same time to learn and share how to best support our loved ones.
