I have a talent for spotting coins hidden in the soil or the darkness of night, which is suggestive of the paradox of finding the silver lining in challenging situations. As Parker Palmer says in a meditation on “Autumn,” our preference for either-or thinking makes difficult holding opposites together in the complexities of paradox. What is more, it denies the opportunity for growth and change. During this service we will explore how healing it can be to bring opposites together into wholeness.
